The Santa María is DD Grills' flagship Argentinian parrilla — a heavy-duty live-fire BBQ built for serious outdoor cooking in Dubai and across the UAE.
Designed around the traditional Santa María style of Argentinian asado, this grill gives you full control over your fire. The precision gear-wheel system raises and lowers the stainless steel grate over the coals, so you manage heat by distance — the way it's done in Argentina. Wood or charcoal, both work equally well.
Built from 5mm carbon steel with a stainless steel cooking grate, the Santa María is made to last outdoors in the UAE climate. Not a seasonal grill. Not a gas substitute. A proper live-fire parrilla that gets better with every cook.
Why the Santa María
Most grills give you two options: full heat or nothing. The Santa María gives you a third — control. Raise the grate when the fire is too strong. Lower it when you need a hard sear. Cook different cuts at different heights at the same time. This is how Argentinians have grilled for generations, and it produces results a gas grill simply cannot match.
The base of the Santa María is lined with refractory bricks — the same heat-resistant bricks used in professional pizza ovens and traditional Argentinian asado pits. They absorb and retain heat, protecting the steel base and creating a more stable, even cooking environment. Once your fire is going, the bricks keep the heat consistent even as you add fuel. It's a detail most grill manufacturers skip. We don't.
